New stamp set: Urban font

Did you notice?
Several weeks ago I added a new font to our font page!
Our new urban font is my new favorite.
It's not a tiny font so it won't work on our original family circle necklace,
but it will work on the large family circle,
and most of our other designs.

What do you think?

PS Christmas is only 6 1/2 weeks away! Please try to get your Christmas orders in early, because I'm always swamped as it gets closer. Our deadline for Chrismas orders with regular shipping will be Thursday, December 1st.
Ready to shop? Come stop by right now!

New, our Angel Memorial Necklace

A few months ago I had a customer come to me with a request. She said:
My 16 month old niece died this morning. Her poor family is torn apart, her mother has already had several late pregnancy miscarriages and this little angel was their last (of four). She arrived with severe mental and physical handicaps but she's been a piece of heaven for all that knew her. Her two sisters are grieving especially hard. I wanted to give all three girls a sister's necklace and incorporate the idea of angel, if possible.

My heart went out to this sweet family.

My own sister lost a child at birth and I remember how helpless I felt at the time, nothing I could do would make it better. And losing a child is the most difficult thing I can imagine having to go through!

It was a privilege being able to design a necklace for this sweet family.

Our new Angel Memorial Necklace incorporates two little domed discs that fit together to make a locket. An angel is stamped on the front, with a name and heart charm inside. ( If you'd like to order this necklace without the angel we can also just stamp a heart on the front.)

We hope that this necklace is something meaningful,
something that might help the tiniest bit for someone in need of comfort.

You can find the necklace here.

Tutorial Tuesday: Scented Jack O Lantern Tealights

Yes, it is Wednesday, but better late than never!
I have to say, I really don't like carving pumpkins.
Crazy, right?
They're just so messy!
And hard to work with.
So when I saw these adorable jack o lanterns
made from oranges
I fell in love!

Cute little jack o lanterns
that smell great too?
Yes please!

Tutorial tuesday: DIY bookshelf

Today started off with the discovery
that half a bottle of baby shampoo had spilled
all over my bathroom floor.
I may never be done with the process-
rinse, repeat
rinse, repeat
rinse, repeat.
Yes, it has been one of those days.

But thankfully most of your Mother's Day orders
have been finished and shipped.
Just a couple more tomorrow
and they will officially be done!

For Tutorial Tuesday today
I'm featuring this amazing DIY bookshelf
from Girl in Air.
Can you believe that it only cost her $7?!

He is Risen

0871_jesus_resurrection_christian_clipart.jpg
“On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, Mary Magdalene
and the other Mary came unto the sepulcher. To their astonishment,
the body of their Lord was gone.
Luke records that two men in shining garments
stood by them and said:
‘Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here,
but is risen.’ (Luke 24:5-6.) Job’s question, ‘If a man die, shall he live
again?’ had just been answered.” Thomas S. Monson, Ensign, Apr 1990, 2

Hope you all have a wonderful Easter!

Tutorial Tuesday: sippy strap

My baby turned 1 this past Saturday.
I can't believe how quickly the time has gone by!
He is all boy
and loves trucks,
balls,
and throwing
absolutely everything.

So this sippy strap from B is for Boy
would certainly come in handy
to keep my little guy's cup
off of the ground.
And it looks pretty simple to make too!

New to the shop: Baby Spoons!

So it has been forever since I added anything new to the shop.
I have so many designs that I want to add
but I've been a bit preoccupied this year!
I totally forgot how much work babies are!!
But I'm finally about done with all my yucky tax paperwork,
so I will try to work on adding some new things to the shop
over the next few months.

I've wanted to add personalized baby spoons for a while
but never found the perfect spoon to use...
until now!
I hope you like this as much as I do
because I think they're super cute!

What do you think? You can find them right here.
